Measuring inside legs - Bike Club

Using a Bike Club measuring tape

Have you picked up one of our measuring tapes at John Lewis or at one of our events? If so, here is a quick guide on how to use it.

Step 1

Unfold the measuring guide and place it up against a wall. Ensure that the panel with the shoe mark is sitting flat on the floor.

Step 2

Have your child stand facing away from the wall with their right foot on the foot mark.

Step 3

Next, we need to find their inside leg measurement. To do this, place a book between their legs and raise it to the highest point as is comfortable.

Step 4

Keep the book against the wall, or make a mark with a pencil, at the point that you've measured to. Your child can now step away from the wall. Now it's time to find them their perfect bike! Using the top edge of the book, look across the line to see the bikes that will fit your child perfectly.
